Meet Tia Elle

Tia Elle is the author of Girl in Progress, a debut adult rom-com. Born and raised in Southern California, she grew up immersed in the entertainment industry, working as an actor, model, and producer while attending Loyola Marymount University. Somewhere between auditions and film sets, she opened one of the busiest Ben & Jerry’s locations on the Venice Beach boardwalk, managing 20+ teens whose messy, wonderful lives inspired her to write YA.

After years in California, Tia took a creative leap to Austin, Texas, where she opened an Old Hollywood and rock ‘n’ roll art gallery downtown. She continued her passion for storytelling through event planning, organizing everything from SXSW and Austin Film Festival events to movie premiere parties, charity galas, and local celebrations. Her work has been featured in Austin’s top magazines.

After having two children, she made the challenging but rewarding decision to stay home full-time. Now, she channels her love for storytelling into writing adult romance, rom-coms, and YA romance—always with plenty of heart, humor, wanderlust, and a growing collection of imaginary literary boyfriends.

Tia is a lifelong adventurer who adores traveling, discovering new cultures, and spontaneous dance parties with her husband and kids. Her passion for writing sparked on RPG forums (yes, really!) and grew in college, where professors praised her ability to weave travel experiences into her work. When she’s not crafting swoon-worthy stories, you can find her adoring life’s little moments and dreaming up her next big adventure.
